The word “Ubud” is world widely known with its rich sense of culture and traditions. Part of the culture and traditions is the Artisan Village. People who come from Ubud are naturally artists. Not only the business that is running within the family, but also the skill. It is interesting to know the art part of Ubud as it is centralised only in this area. As we drive to downtown Ubud, we will be able to stop at the Artisan Villages. Batik Artisan Village is specialised on the fabric with detailed work on the pattern. The locals often use the fabric as sarong to go to temples for praying but it is also made into shirts to use for formal occasions. In Wood Carving Artisan Village, we will be able to see the intricate work of the wood carving that turns into a small wood statue or a big one.  

Painting Artisan Village is the center of art painting in the island. Ubud Art Painting work is well known since the 1950s. The paintings are known for its highly vigorous yet refined and intricate art that would represent baroque folk art with tropical themes. Last but not least is Silversmith Artisan Village. It is located in Celuk village. The village is famous for more than 100 years for its silver handicrafts. You will be able to find beautiful and fascinating works from jewellery into big decoration items. We can visit 2 or 3 artisan villages depending on your interest. 

Visiting the Ubud area without a temple would feel like something is missing. On this tour, we will also visit Batuan Temple. Batuan Temple is an example of a village temple where the village member will have a ceremony about every 6 months. This temple has a perfect example of how to build Balinese Hindu temple based on its concept and we would be able to access the whole area. 

Lastly, refresh our body and mind by visiting a waterfall nearby the area. Kanto Lampo waterfall has its own unique view for its rocky surface that forms a beautiful view. If you are a photography enthusiast, this waterfall would create highly unique yet pretty shots.
