Explore the beauty of the famous Ubud Village

This tour is recommended for animal lovers and nature lovers looking at the itinerary that we create. The tour will start by visiting the famous Ubud Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary where it is a home of around 1.200 monkeys. Long-tailed macaque is the native species of monkey in Bali and this is the only species that we have in the island. The forest lies within the central area of Ubud. The monkeys here live freely, no cages, no chains. The only cages that we will find are the ones to store the food of the monkey. They are well taken care of as the staff would feed them three times a day with sweet potatoes, bananas and corn, besides the well maintained environment of trees and a river for the water source. You will be able to see the monkeys walking and playing around but still, do not approach the monkey on purpose as they are still wild animals. There are three temples located in the forest and the locals believe that the monkeys are the guardians of the temples.

Next for scenery, we will visit a rice terrace. It is located in Tegallalang Village and this is the most famous rice terrace located in suburb Ubud. A small example of a rice terrace yet the view is still breathtaking. We will be able to see the application of the Subak system. The main aspect of the Subak system is the water dividing system to control the growth of rice in the rice field. Every village in Bali will have a Subak organisation who is in charge of everything the farmers do in the rice field. For people who like challenging activities, you can do the famous Bali swing, zip-line, sky-bike and a superman zip-line. Challenging and fun, especially for the zip-line as you would zip-lining above the rice terrace.

Nearby the rice terrace we will stop at a coffee plantation. For coffee and tea lovers, this is a perfect place to visit. You will be given a short tour of the plantation and showed the coffee making process traditionally. At this place, you will also meet the famous animal who makes coffee which is Luwak. Luwak Coffee is a famous coffee and currently, the most expensive coffee in the world. You might wanna try it. Researchers stated that this coffee has less caffeine and more protein. No worries, no animals are harmed at the coffee plantation.

Complete the tour by visiting a waterfall near Ubud which is Kanto Lampo Waterfall. This waterfall has the shortest track and stairs which is perfect. The view is unique as the water falls through the rocky surface and it creates layers. The waterfall links with a river where you could swim a little bit or sit on the rock to enjoy the view. Not gonna lie but there will be so many people and in order to take pictures with the whole view, you will have to wait in line. But don’t worry, the result of the pictures is worth the wait.
